Frequently asked questions
Everything brands usually ask us about dry ice, coverage, carriers, and how F2C fits into a Shopify store.
How much dry ice do you use, and will it last?+
We engineer a packing recipe per shipment based on the destination’s transit time and the product’s weight: enough dry ice to arrive frozen, but not so much that you’re paying to ship extra weight for no reason. Every box is insulated to match.
Do I need to supply my own liners or dry ice?+
No. We supply insulated liners and dry ice, billed per box and by the pound at the volume rates of a company that has shipped tens of thousands of frozen boxes of its own. Those are rates a single brand can’t negotiate alone. You don’t need to source, store, or handle any of it.
Where do you ship?+
Western Canada today: British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan via UPS and Purolator, with local delivery available in Metro Vancouver. Remote areas are assessed case-by-case, since transit times affect how much dry ice a shipment needs. Selling farther east? Reach out anyway: our coverage grows with the brands we work with.
Which carriers do you use?+
UPS and Purolator nationally, plus local delivery in Metro Vancouver for brands that want it.
Where is your warehouse?+
Client orders ship from our own frozen fulfillment facility in Vancouver, BC. It’s run by us, not subcontracted, which is how we keep dry-ice packing, ship-day scheduling, and quality control tight.
Do you integrate with Shopify?+
Yes. Our own Shopify app shows live, accurate frozen-shipping rates at checkout along with a postal-code delivery checker, so customers know upfront whether, and how, you can ship to them.
Can you fulfill subscription orders, not just one-time purchases?+
Yes. We support subscription boxes (Recharge-style) as well as one-time DTC orders, all through the same warehouse and software setup.
What happens if a customer enters a wrong or undeliverable address?+
We run address verification and PO-box detection before anything ships, catching bad addresses up front instead of after a box is already in transit.
How does order tracking work?+
Customers get an order tracking page, and delivered-status updates push back into Shopify, which is what powers "your order was delivered" email flows for your brand.
What is Revy?+
Revy is our in-house warehouse management system. It gives you a merchant portal with real-time order views, ship-date calendars, packaging profiles, and inventory. All built by us, not a third-party bolt-on.
How does ship-day scheduling work?+
Orders batch to weekly ship days chosen per brand, so boxes go out on a predictable schedule and never sit in a truck over a weekend, which would defeat the purpose of the dry ice.
What kinds of products do you fulfill?+
Frozen and perishable direct-to-consumer products: frozen seafood, frozen meals, pasture-raised and frozen meat from butchers, frozen bakery goods, ice cream, and frozen desserts.
How does pricing work?+
Your monthly invoice has four parts. A flat monthly partnership fee covers your account, the Revy merchant portal, the Shopify integration, and your included pallet storage and receiving. Per-order fulfillment is a base fee per order plus per-item picking and a per-box fee. Materials (dry ice by the pound, insulated liners per box) are itemized at our volume rates. Carrier shipping is based on our negotiated UPS and Purolator rates. Storage beyond your included allowance and extra receivings are itemized at flat rates too. We don’t publish numbers because rates depend on your products, volume, and destinations: reach out for a quote.
Do you have order minimums?+
Let’s talk. Reach out with your volume and product details and we’ll figure out the right fit together.
